Cor-Tuf UHPC Goes Mainstream with a First-Ever UHPC Mobile Batch Plant

Cor-Tuf®️ UHPC, the exclusive licensed producer of Cor-Tuf Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) in the United States and the world, is bringing Cor-Tuf UHPC into mainstream production with its groundbreaking UHPC mobile batch plant. Now Cor-Tuf UHPC can be used by contractors anywhere and everywhere, under any conditions. No special considerations or accommodations required.

mobile batch plant concrete work

UHPC is a revolutionary form of concrete that is extremely strong and durable, delivering up to ten times the compressive strength of traditional concrete. However, historically UHPC mixes have not been easy to work with. Cor-Tuf has already changed the game in this regard.

The Cor-Tuf proprietary UHPC mix is pourable, pumpable, and sprayable, and it can be mixed and transported with any kind of conventional concrete machinery. Cor-Tuf is stepping up their game even further with the introduction of the mobile batch plant. Now, contractors and construction workers will be able to mix load after load of Cor-Tuf UHPC right on the job site, working it into the regular rhythm of any contracting situation. The mobile batch plant equipment also makes it possible to produce batch tickets for Cor-Tuf UHPC, conforming with standardized and industry-accepted delivery methodologies.

Cor-Tuf worked very closely with Mixer Systems on the UHPC mobile batch plant project. Mixer Systems is a US-based company that oversaw the design and production of the equipment. The UHPC mobile batch plant is 100% American-made. It was also constructed from readily available, off-the-shelf parts and required no custom fabrication. Anyone who works at a batch plant facility will be very familiar with the methods used, and the end product is far superior to traditional concrete.

Cor-Tuf just completed the initial round of testing on the mobile batch plant in conjunction with their partner, Dura-Stress Inc., in Florida. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, impressing those who have had the opportunity to see it in person. The team is in the process of wrapping up the final touches, but this is just the first of many mobile batch plants to come.

Be on the lookout for future updates as the Cor-Tuf UHPC mobile batch plant rollout continues. Cor-Tuf is committed to bringing innovation to the concrete and construction industries with its revolutionary UHPC mix and now with a one-of-a-kind mobile batch plant that renders traditional concrete obsolete.

About Cor-Tuf UHPC

Cor-Tuf UHPC was founded in 2016. The company is the exclusive licensed producer of Cor-Tuf Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) in the United States. Cor-Tuf UHPC is the first mass-production-ready UHPC concrete that delivers ten times the compressive strength of conventional concrete. It is the premier material for Low Impact Design (LID). It provides the same performance and strength as steel with smaller components and a lower total lifecycle cost. This innovative concrete is impervious to water, demonstrates superior freeze/thaw resistance, and has a longer useful life of more than 100 years. Cor-Tuf UHPC is replacing traditional concrete and steel in such projects as bridge construction and repair, precast concrete deck panels, H-pilings, and field-cast connections between prefabricated bridge components.
