Electric Utility Structures

Engineered to Outlast the Grid

Learn how Cor-Tuf UHPC utility structures can streamline your installs and lower costs.

Durability You Can Count On.
Value You Can Measure.

Cor-Tuf utility structures are engineered to outperform and outlast traditional designs — minimizing maintenance, reducing construction delays and delivering long-term cost savings.

Made from Cor-Tuf’s proprietary ultra-high-performance concrete CT 420 and engineered in collaboration with industrial utility providers, CT-Tufboxes are corrosion-proof and impact-resistant. Manufactured in the U.S. by local producers, using locally sourced materials, they’re designed to meet the growing demands of an electrified, data-driven world.

The Smarter Utility Structure

Solves the Problems Standard Boxes Can’t

  • Made from Cor-Tuf 420 UHPC – compressive strength of 22,000+ psi at 28 days with highest tensile, flexural and bonding strengths
  • Fully corrosion-proof and impact-resistant
  • Enginereed for a 100+ year lifespan – virtually eliminating replacements
  • Performs in extreme climates without degradation
  • Cost-competitive with concrete and polymer boxes — outperforms all in durability
  • Uses 75% less material (1” walls vs. 4–6”) – lighter without sacrificing strength
  • Ships more per load (less than one-third the weight of traditional concrete) — saving fuel, time and money
  • Reduces lifecycle costs through longer service life and fewer replacements
  • Precast-ready and produced regionally for shorter lead times

  • Manufactured by local producers with locally-sourced materials for supply reliability

  • 50% recycled binder content — lower environmental impact, same strength

  • Standard 4-by-4 boxes install with mini excavators

  • The only UHPC licensed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Patent No. 8,016,938)
  • Co-developed with utility experts to solve real-world infrastructure challenges
  • Tamper- and slip-resistant to help prevent unauthorized access and on-site accidents
  • Designed to reduce maintenance and construction delays — saving time and money

Our Story

Cor-Tuf UHPC is redefining concrete for critical infrastructure.

Founded in 2016 to commercialize a patented UHPC formula from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Cor-Tuf is the only licensed producer of this breakthrough material.

Our ultra-high-performance concrete is stronger and easier to work with than other UHPCs – enabling more durable precast products for utility, infrastructure and defense applications — including the production of long-lasting utility boxes, vaults and walls.

What Makes UHPC Ultra-High Performance

UHPC achieves its superior performance through a dense nano-scale matrix that is far less permeable than conventional concrete. This matrix is combined with steel fiber reinforcement, which provides exceptional ductility and crack resistance.

Though exact formulations and results vary by producer, UHPC generally incorporates a blend of Portland cement, sand, supplementary cementitious materials, chemical admixtures, and fibers – resulting in a material dramatically stronger, tougher, and longer lasting than traditional concrete.
